Class Fees and Fines

Class Fees

Class fees are assessed when instructional (consumable) materials are used within the classroom.  If your student has taken the following classes, he/she will likely owe a class fee.  Class fees are for an entire year, and are not prorated.  If your child only took the class for one semester, he/she will still owe the entire amount.  If your child is enrolled in more than one CTE course, he/she may only need to pay one course fee.  CTE course fees may apply to each semester.  Please speak to the CTE instructor regarding this.  If your child is enrolled in more than one Art course, he/she will only need to pay one fee for the entire school year.  Band and Choir fees pay for cleaning of uniforms.

Library Fines

All Library fines are for books not returned.  If your child has not returned his/her book/s, the replacement value of each book will be assessed against your child’s account.  Fines can be removed once the book has been returned.

Classroom Book Fines

If your child has neglected to return a book to his/her instructor, the replacement value of the book will be assessed against your child’s account.  This most commonly occurs at year end, or in the event of withdrawal.  Book fines generally range from up to $75.  Fines can be removed once the book has been returned.

Athletic Uniform Fines

If your child has neglected to return an athletic uniform to his/her coach, the replacement value of the uniform will be assessed against your child’s account.  This most commonly occurs at year end, and sometimes in the event of withdrawal.  Uniform fines generally range from up to $300.  Fines can be removed once the uniform has been returned to the Coach.

Book/Property Damage

Fines will be assessed against your child’s account for any book damage and/or property damage that occurs at DPHS.  Fines for damage cannot be removed from your child’s account.
